Eagle River Golf Course welcomes our new Head PGA Golf Professional Howard Manske. Howard has been a PGA golf professional since 1981, starting in Vail, Colorado and eventually ending up back in his home state of Wisconsin.
According to Howard and many of his students, he has a great eye as a swing instructor. He seems to figure out very quickly what needs to change in a person's swing to help them improve and meet their goals.
He loves to teach juniors and over the years, he's taught and coached many young golfers in Colorado, Texas, and Wisconsin with over 35 going on to play scholarship Division 1 College Golf. Many have also taken the step of becoming PCA Professionals themselves. In June of 2011, he was able to train and coach his 50th high school student at the Wisconsin State High School Championship in Madison with the high school senior placing 4th.
Howard will be available for private and semi-private golf lessons by appointment all season. He will also be helping with junior golf, ladies and men's clinics, and he will still be coaching and training some of the state's best juniors and college golfers who have worked with him for years. It is best to schedule your lessons with him weeks in advance as his lesson book (which is limited due to his head professional duties) fills up fast. His cell phone number is 715.573.2805 if you need to reach him for a lesson.
Private lessons are $40 for 1/2 hour. The prices includes range balls. A package of 6 lessons can be purchased in advance for $200. Lessons will cover full swing fundamentals, chipping, sand, putting and other needs as they appear.
Semi-Private Lessons are $50 for two players or $60 for three players. Packages for 6 lessons can be purchased in advance for $250 or $300.
A "private lesson a week" program for the entire season is available for $600. It is limited for the first 20 to sign up. Only certain times will be available. Some restrictions may apply.
Playing lessons on the course are also available. These lessons are private and include the green fee and cart. Three hole lessons are $100 and nine hole lessons are $200. The lessons cover strategy, rules, mental thoughts, and other skills as needed. Prior swing lessons are required unless the player is fairly accomplished.
Corporate Clinics are also available and the price is quoted depending on the number of participants. It is a fun way to entertain guests and they usually last for an hour with the swing tips, demonstrations, and individual training.
